Are your elements compatible with Donaldson Ultrafilter 90 ALU series housings? +
Yes. Our compatible replacement elements are manufactured to the same dimensional specification as the original Ultrafilter (Donaldson) 90 ALU cartridges. They are direct drop-in replacements — no housing modification required. If you have the Ultrafilter part number or size code, send it to us and we will cross-reference and confirm before you order.
What is the difference between Ultrafilter FF and MF grades? +
Both FF and MF are coalescing elements that remove oil mist and water aerosols, but at different efficiencies. FF (Fine Filter) removes particles and oil mist down to 1 µm — suitable for general industrial air. MF (Micro Filter) removes down to 0.1 µm with a maximum residual oil of 0.1 mg/m³ — required for painting, food processing and pharmaceutical applications.
How often should Ultrafilter elements be replaced? +
Ultrafilter / Donaldson recommends annual replacement — every 12 months or 4,000 operating hours, whichever is sooner. In Indian industrial environments (high humidity, dust), we recommend replacing every 8–12 months for critical-grade elements (SMF, AK). Watch the differential pressure indicator: a red reading means the element is saturated and must be replaced immediately.
